The Shumi Table is defined by mass, repetition, and structural clarity. A circular tabletop rests on a clustered base of stacked, turned timber elements, arranged as a compact field of columns. The composition recalls totemic forms each unit independent, yet collectively supporting a single plane.
Crafted in solid Kikar and finished by charring the wood, revealing subtle grain and tool marks that soften its monolithic presence. The rhythm of the base introduces depth and shadow, grounding the table while giving it a sculptural, almost architectural stance.
